The Central Sterile Processing Technician Certificate 780-hour program will prepare you to work on a team that maintains sterilization of all instrumentation and equipment – an essential part to uphold patient safety. Skills covered include how to decontaminate, prepare and sterilize instrument trays for surgical procedures, disinfect patient care equipment and the various methods of inventory control storage and distribution of sterile supplies and equipment. Students completing this program could easily articulate into our Surgical Technology.
Upon successful completion, you can sit for the EXAM to become a Certified Sterile Technician CSPT offered by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM). Students completing this program could easily articulate into our Surgical Technology.
