The Nurse Aide Advanced program of Bramstein School of Applied Studies is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to become nurse aides. At the same time, we also prepare them for entry into a practical nursing program if they wish to proceed.
Course Description
This program is designed for students who wish to fully to empower themselves as a full healthcare technician. This BPSS approved course provides an opportunity to gain the additional competencies and clinical experiences needed to seek employment in a hospital or in a resident health care facility, sub-acute care facility, or a hospital. The Nurse Aide Advanced certificate is designed to not only prepare one as a nurse aide, but to prepare students for entry into a practical nursing program by requiring additional courses in anatomy, mathematics, and English. These courses also promote a greater understanding of one’s patients and allow the nurse aide to function more fully as a member of a health care team.

Employment of nurse aide advanced is projected to grow 315 percent from 2012 to 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the baby-boom population ages, the overall need for healthcare services is expected to increase. specialized nurse aides will be needed in residential care facilities, hospitals, and in home health environments to care for geriatric patients.
